When the first Tuning Fork movement was exhibited by Bulova in 1960, they worked up a model that didn't have a dial to allow potential purchasers to better understand the revolution taking place below the hands. This lead to people trying to purchase the dial-less model from Bulova who to avoid disappointing their customers soon put the 'Space View' into production.

The Tuning Fork movement in the Accutron was a revolution, with accuracy measured in months rather than days but like many technological innovations, it was eclipsed by an even greater leap forward, in this case, with Quartz movements.

This 50th Anniversary model features a totally updated Tuning Fork Movement that might be the last of its kind.
