The G10LM is a contemporary General Service pattern field watch, designed with distinct specifications that set it apart from other similar models. Unlike many other manufacturers who use a push-on caseback, the G10LM features a screw-down caseback, enhancing its water resistance. Additionally, while other watches often use perspex or plexiglass crystals, MWC opts for actual glass, making the watch more scratch-resistant and providing a sleeker appearance.

The special covert matte black non-reflective PVD finish on this watch is often specified in military contracts for special forces, anti-terrorist units, and covert operations. In the PVD process, the steel itself isn’t black throughout; instead, the color is achieved through a specialized chemical plating technique. This method is far superior to the painted finishes found on lower-quality watches, which tend to fade or wear off easily.
